Boys’ Hockey

Bow 2, Trinity 2

Key players: Bow – Will Raisty (goal, assist), Jaden Lerch (1st career goal), Patrik Jurcins (assist)

Highlights: A great individual effort by Jurcins to keep the puck in the zone, finished off by Lerch’s first career goal on a rebound, tied the game late in the third period on Saturday.

Coach’s quote: “The kids played with a lot of heart to come back and tie the game after letting Trinity take the lead in the third. Kian O’Leary was big for us in net, and Will Raisty and Patrik Jurcins stepped up big time for us.” – Bow’s Tim Walsh

Bow 2, Pinkerton 1

Key players: Bow – Ethan Herrick (1st career goal), Luke Hartshorn (goal), Kian O’Leary (19 saves), Patrik Jurcins (assist), Massimo Palelli (assist)

Highlights: Bow came out strong and took a 2-0 lead after the first period on Herrick’s first career goal and Hartshorn’s power-play goal, and the Falcons hung on for a win on Monday afternoon.

Key players: Kearsarge – Eli Whipple (13 points), Austin Needham (12 points, 3 assists), Noah Whipple (9 points, 10 rebounds, 9 assists, 4 steals), Bragen Kinzer (8 points), Ajay Tremblay (7 points, 7 rebounds), Davin Boehle (defense), Noah Rubenberg (defense), Blake Grieco (defense)

Highlights: The Cougars locked down defensively early, holding Monadnock to five points in the first quarter and 13 in the first half, and turned up the offense in the second half, outscoring the Huskies 36-27 over the last 16 minutes on Friday night. Noah Whipple was all over the court with several steals and finished just shy of a triple double. Boehle, Rubenberg, Kinzer and Tremblay all chipped in with big rebounds and defense.

Coach’s quote: “This was a great team victory, especially defensively with players knowing their assignments and with a lot of energy from the start. We had lots of balance offensively with five players scoring seven points or more, credit (Noah) Whipple who got everyone involved.” – Kearsarge’s Nate Camp
