Girls’ Tennis

Bow 5, Kennett 4

Key players: Bow – Makaylie Laws (8-1 win), Lilly Gula (8-1 win), Alexis Pelletier (8-4 win), Sierra Scull (8-4 win), Laws and Maddy Desrosiers (8-0 win at No. 2 doubles)

Highlights: Leading 4-2 after singles, Desrosiers and Laws clinched the match with an 8-0 win at second doubles. The other two doubles matches were tight ones as Katie McCabe and Gula, and Scull and Pelletier both fell 8-6 at first and third doubles.

Highlights: The Generals did especially well in the field events, winning three of the five, to finish second in a four-team meet on their home track to open the season.
