One of the biggest gaps in service from Manchester-Boston Regional Airport will be filled this summer, as JetBlue will begin daily flights to New York City.

The flights, which the company described as “summer-seasonal,” will start June 12, departing Manchester to JFK Airport at 7 a.m. and departing JFK to return at 10 p.m.  One-way fares start at $49 via JetBlue’s website.

The announcement comes a month before United prepares to end its service to Newark Airport, just outside New York City, which would have left Manchester without any connection to the East Coast’s biggest market.

JetBlue began service at Manchester last month with three nonstop flights to Orlando, Fort Myers, and Fort Lauderdale in Florida.
