Girls’ Indoor Track

UNH Afternoon

Key players: Concord – Consuelo Borico (1st shot put in 36-5.25), Ella Goulas (2nd high jump, 2nd long jump), Shelly Smith (2nd 1,000), Madeline Muller (3rd 600), Ballay Conteh (5th 55 dash), Bakela Massaquoi (5th 55 hurdles), Quinn Doherty (5th 1,000)

Highlights: Borico won the shot put with a Division I season-best toss to lead several impressive performances by the Tide girls in a qualifying meet at the University of New Hampshire on Sunday afternoon.

UNH Morning

Key players: Belmont – Ava Lacasse (1st 55 dash in 7.64 seconds), Adeline Takantjas (5th 55 hurdles), 4x160 (1st), 4x400 (3rd), 4x800 (6th); Bow – Hannah Pawlowski (1st 600 in 1:42), Julia Hou (2nd 1,000), Camden Wilson (2nd high jump), Autumn Bureau (4th long jump), Vita Flagg (6th 55 hurdles), 4x400 (5th); John Stark – Anna Chasse (3rd 1,000); Pembroke – Caitrin Bergeron (5th 1,500); Kearsarge – Javiera Eliessetch (5th high jump); Merrimack Valley – Gianna Panza (4th shot put)

Highlights: Lacasse held on to the No. 1 spot in the 55 rankings in Division II and also anchored the winnign 4x160 relay in a qualifying meet at the University of New Hampshire on Sunday morning.

Phillips Exeter Academy

Key players: Coe-Brown – Isabelle Grenier (1st shot put in 34-7), Bristol Shirland (2nd 55 hurdles in 8.99 seconds), Jazzlyn Curry (4th long jump, 6th high jump), 4x200 (5th), 4x800 (5th)

Highlights: The Generals swept the field events in a competitive qualfiying meet at the University of New Hampshire on Sunday morning.

Phillips Exeter Academy

Key players: Coe-Brown – Quinn Froburg (3rd 1,000), Cameron Lee (5th 55 hurdles), 4x400 (3rd), 4x200 (4th), 4x800 (4th)

Highlights: The Bears put together some strong relays in a qualifying meet at Phillips Exeter Academy on Saturday.

Boys’ Hockey

Bow 3, Windham 2, OT

Key players: Bow – Colby Cloutier (game-winning goal), Landon Wescott (game-tying goal), Owen Webber (game-tying assist, 100th career point)

Highlights: The Falcons came back from a 2-1 deficit in the third period to force overtime and Cloutier’s first career goal in OT gave Bow its third straight win. Webber recorded his 100th career point with an assist on Wescott’s game-tying goal in the third. Webber is the eighth player in program history to eclipse the 100-point mark.

Boys’ Basketball

Kearsarge 56, Monadnock 46

Key players: Kearsarge – Eli Whipple (career-high 21 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals), Bragen Kinzer (11 points), Ajay Tremblay (10 points, 7 rebounds), Austin Needham (6 points, 6 rebounds), Liam Miller (6 points), Davin Boehle (2 points, 3 rebounds), Noah Whipple (7 rebounds, 12 assists, 2 steals)

Highlights: Kearsarge held a 14-11 lead after the first quarter, but came out strong in the second to pull ahead 29-18 at halftime. After an evenly-played third quarter, the Cougars made some nice plays in the fourth and Tremblay hit clutch free throws to secure the win.

Coach’s quote: “Eli was really cooking for us, but so was Bragen, Ajay and Liam, so it’s nice to have multiple players step up to make plays for us tonight. Noah made a lot of nice decisions and unselfish plays with 12 assists, again proving we are well-balanced team.” – Kearsarge’s Nate Camp
