High schools: Indoor track results from this past weekend

Boys’ Indoor Track

Coe-Brown 3rd, Merrimack Valley tied 4th, Winnisquam 12th, Belmont tied 13th

Key players: Coe-Brown – Cameron Lee (1st 55 hurdles in 8.07 seconds, 4th 300), Patrick Youngs (2nd 1,000), Brogan Grzybowski (3rd 55 hurdles), Ben Larson (3rd 3,000), Quinn Froburg (4th 1,000), Bryce Sartin (5th long jump), Anthony Szatko (6th 300), Gavin Dyjak (6th 600), 4x400 (4th), 4x200 (5th); MV – Mychal Reynolds (2nd 600), Owen Turner (2nd high jump), Nicolas Oglesby (3rd long jump, 4th high jump), 4x400 (2nd), 4x200 (4th); Winnisquam – Nolan Abbott (4th 600), Brendan Goodwin (5th 600); Belmont – 4x200 (6th)

Highlights: The Bears were third out of 18 teams, but were the top Division II team, in a meet at Plymouth State on Saturday. Londonderry (63 points), Bedford (59), Coe-Brown (48), MV (38) and Inter-Lakes (38) were the top five teams. Winnisquam (6) finished 12th, and Belmont and Laconia (1) tied for 13th. 

John Stark 7th

Key players: John Stark – Rio Calle (1st long jump at 21-4.75, 2nd high jump), Grant Spooner (5th shot put), Owen Dion (6th shot put)

Highlights: The Generals (21 points) finished seventh out of 15 teams in a meet at Phillips Exeter Academy on Saturday. Phillips Exeter (98), Trinity (52) and Hollis-Brookline (48) were the top three teams.

Bow 4th, Bishop Brady 9th

Key players: Bow – Wyatt Worcester (1st 3,000 in 10:16),  Kody McCranie (2nd 55), Gavin Buxton (3rd 55, 4th 300), Sam Kohl (4th high jump), Thomas Sargent (4th 600), Ian Sandahl (4th 1,500), Jack Noce (6th 1,500), 4x160 (2nd); Bishop Brady – Jorge Guerra (5th 3,000)

Highlights: The Falcons were the second-best Division II team in a 10-team meet at the University of New Hampshire on Sunday. D-I Alvirne (107) and Winnacunnet (82), and D-II Monadnock (50) were the top three teams, while Bow tallied 49 points. Bishop Brady (2) also competed.

Pembroke 8th, Kearsarge 9th

Key players: Pembroke – Zachery Heichlinger (3rd shot put), William LeCain (5th 1,000), 4x400 (2nd); Kearsarge – Daniel Dalbec (2nd 3,000, 3rd 1,000)

Highlights: The Spartans (16 points) and Cougars (14) competed in a 14-team meet at the University of New Hampshire on Sunday morning. Salem (71) edged Milford (70) for the victory, while Merrimack (55) finished third. 

Girls’ Indoor Track

Coe-Brown 4th, Belmont 8th, Winnisquam tied 10th, Merrimack Valley 12th

Key players: Coe-Brown – Annabelle Lovett (1st 1,500 in 5:34, 5th 3,000), Bristol Shirland (2nd 55 hurdles), Isabelle Grenier (3rd shot put), Eloise Hill (4th 3,000), Tessa Kouchoukos (4th 55), Riley Hawkes (5th 55), Jazzlyn Curry (6th long jump, tied 6th high jump), Meredith Kerivan (6th 1,000), 4x200 (3rd), 4x400 (6th); Belmont – Adeline Takantjas (3rd 55 hurdles), Hannah Young (6th 55), 4x200 (5th); Winnisquam – Denessa Williams (4th 300); MV – Madison Geddes (6th 600), 4x400 (5th)

Highlights: Division I Bedford (95), Londonderry (63), Exeter (50) were the top three teams, while Coe-Brown (45.5) was the top D-II team, finishing fourth at Plymouth State on Saturday. Belmont (9), Winnisquam (4) and MV (3) also competed.

John Stark tied 12th

Key players: John Stark – Anna Chasse (4th 1,000)

Highlights:  The Generals (4 points) tied for 12th out of 15 teams in a meet at Phillips Exeter Academy on Saturday. Phillips Exeter (101), Windham (48) and Kingswood (42) were the top three teams.

Bow 3rd, Bishop Brady 7th

Key players: Bow – Hannah Pawlowski (1st 300 in 44.65 seconds, 1st 600 in 1:46), Camden Wilson (1st high jump at 4-11), Julia Hou (2nd 1,000), Autumn Bureau (3rd long jump), Emily Fauteux (4th high jump, 5th 55 hurdles), Keegan O’Meara (6th 600), 4x160 (2nd); Bishop Brady – Sarah Allen (1st long jump in 15-0.75, 4th 55)

Highlights: Pawlowski won two individual events and anchored the runner-up 4x160-meter relay to lead the D-II Falcons (59 points) in a nine-team meet at the University of New Hampshire on Sunday. D-I Dover (91) and Alvirne (79) were the top two teams, with D-I Goffstown (42) and Winnacunnet (39) completing the top five. Allen scored all 14 points for Bishop Brady.

Pembroke 9th, Kearsarge 11th

Key players: Pembroke – Alexis Brown (4th 55 hurdles), Caitrin Bergeron (4th 3,000), Teagan Nyhan (4th long jump), 4x160 (3rd); Kearsarge – Leah Lamothe (3rd long jump), Javiera Eliessetch (5th high jump, 6th long jump), Juliet Faria (5th 55)

Highlights: Portsmouth (122 points) ran away with a 15-team meet at the University of New Hampshire on Sunday morning, well ahead of Merrimack (41) and Salem (32) who were second and third, respectively. Pembroke (18) and Kearsarge (11) also competed.
