Letter: Talking term limits

As happens in every open election year in our country, all of the candidates for president in the United States are paying lip service to the issue of congressional term limits, an issue that enjoys 80% support across party lines, yet never gets off the ground in the D.C. swamp. It is notable that of all these candidates, only one, Ron DeSantis, has actually acted on this issue, advocating then signing into law term limits on all school boards in Florida as governor, and is now doing the same with city councils.

DeSantis also ran in the congress as a signatory of the U.S. Term Limits pledge, and has been a vocal leader on this issue his entire career. By contrast, Nikki Haley did nothing on the term limits when she was governor, and her top booster here in New Hampshire, Governor Sununu, has also provided no leadership through his office on broadening term limits in this state. Actions speak louder than words, and on the issue of term limits and many others, Ron DeSantis is a man of action, which is why he has my vote in the upcoming primary.
