Some homes around Concord have gone all out for the spooky season, adorning their front lawns with characters typically seen in horror movies.

The decor isn’t for the faint of heart, especially as dusk turns to dark.

To bring in the holiday spirit, Intown Concord will be holding its annual Halloween Howl from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 25 on Main Street. The event includes not just trick or treating, but costumes and decorations, plus family-friendly activities and games.

The following day, Fellowship Housing will be holding its Halloween Howl Hustle for Housing 5K at Rollins Park. Registration closes on Oct. 24.
