Kudos to the Right Rev. Mariann Budde for her comments to President Trump at the Interfaith Inauguration prayer service at the Washington National Cathedral. She asked him, in the name of God, to show mercy to all in this country whose lives will be affected by his new executive policies. Speaking about farm workers, migrants, service workers and all of those who fear their rights will be taken away, she spoke eloquently about how he seems bent on a course that will disrupt families and the common good of our communities. One might only wish she had a seat at the table in the cabinet room.
