Downtown Concord altercation sends two to the hospital with serious injuries, Depot Street closed

Depot Street was closed for several hours early Sunday morning while police investigated an altercation that sent two to the hospital. 

Concord police responded to the area at 12:45 a.m. for reports of an altercation. When officers arrived, they located two individuals who had sustained injuries, police said. 

One was transported to Concord Hospital by the Concord Fire Department to be treated for serious, but non-life-threatening injuries, while the other was later transported to a Boston hospital. 

Depot Street and the sidewalk in front of WOW Billiard & Bar on North Main Street were closed for several hours while detectives worked to collect evidence. 

Police have identified some of the individuals involved and the investigation remains active and ongoing. Anyone with information relevant to the incident is encouraged to contact Detective Steve Carter of the Concord Police Department Criminal Investigations Division at 603-225-8600.
