Letter: Deferred maintenance at Rundlett Middle School

After watching the Jan. 15 Concord School Board meeting, I am once again puzzled by the descriptions of conditions within Rundlett. Teachers talked about leaking roofs, falling ceilings, termites, broken windows and rooms at 55 degrees. My basic question is: How could the building get to this point? Don’t we have folks in our central office who understand how to maintain school buildings? Deficiencies noted in 2017 may still be problems. How could this happen?
