Below is a list of organizations that provide financial assistance with pets. Visit their website to see if you qualify and meet their criteria.

Pet Health Financial Assistance Resources

Brown Dog Foundation: Helps provide assistance for a sick dog or cat when an unforeseen circumstance makes money immediately unavailable for treatment (online applications only). browndogfoundation.org

Canine Cancer Awareness: Helps provide assistance for dogs with cancer. caninecancerawareness.org

Care Credit: Credit card that can be applied for, no interest for one year. Help provide assistance for care that they want for themselves and their families (pets/people) carecredit.com

Frankie’s Friends: Provides assistance for life-saving emergencies that have a good prognosis for returning to a good quality of life. Helps cats, dogs and wildlife in certain situations. frankiesfriends.com

Paws 4 A Cure: Provides assistance across the United States for cats and dogs with any illness or injury. paws4acure.org

The Magic Bullet Fund: Provides assistance for canine cancer treatment. Doesn’t provide help for females over four years old that aren’’t spayed, chemotherapy in a leg or radiation therapy. themagicbulletfund.org

The Mosby Foundation: Provides assistance for critically sick, injured, abused and neglected dogs. Provides financial assistance and public education. themosbyfoundation.org

The Riedel & Cody Fund: Provides assistance for chemotherapy and radiation treatments for dogs cats and other animals. riedelcody.org

Red Rover: Provides temporary housing, resources, financial assistance, and emotional support when people and animals are in crisis. redrover.org

Pope Memorial SPCA, Rabies Clinics: Low-cost rabies vaccination clinic has been scheduled for March 31 from 10 a.m. to noon the shelter, 94 Silk Farm Road, Concord. popememorialspca.org/community events

Check with your municipality as they will often host free rabies clinics through your health department, rotary club, fire department, animal shelter, etc.

In Franklin, there will be a dog licensing and rabies vaccination clinic March 31 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Franklin Fire Department. The rabies vaccine will cost $13 for dogs and cats. Dogs must be on leashes and cats in carriers. Proof of prior rabies vaccination will be required for a three-year immunization. If no record presented, a one-year immunization will be given.

In Weare, there will a rabies clinic April 4 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Old Town Hall. Cost is $10.
