The New Hampshire Veterans Home has opened its applications for its Licensed Nursing Assistant Trainee (LNAT) course, offering aspiring nurses an opportunity to earn while they learn.

Students enrolled in the program will receive training and will also be full-time as State of NH employees, making them eligible for benefits. Additionally, they will earn a wage of $19.52 per hour throughout the expenses-paid, 10-week course.

Education will be both in a classroom setting and through hands-on clinical experience.

Applications for the 10-week program are set to close on Feb. 22, with classes starting the week of March 18 at the New Hampshire Veterans Home campus in Tilton.

However, only a limited number of eight full-time positions are available for enrollment.

After completion of the program, graduates will be prepared to take the Board of Nursing license exam, paving the way for a career in nursing.

Applications can be submitted through the official New Hampshire government website, nh.gov, under the position titled “Licensed Nursing Assistant Trainee.”

For further details or inquiries, reach out to the New Hampshire Veterans Home’s Human Resources team at careers@nhvh.nh.gov or at (603) 527-4448.
