Girls’ Basketball

Pembroke 54, Bow 33

Key players: Pembroke – Kate Stephens (22 points), Anne Phillips(13 points), Kaitlin Arenella (11 points); Bow – Bry Szepan (17 points, 5 steals, 2 assists), Peyton Vaughn (9 points, 4 rebounds, 3 steals), Kate McGovern (11 rebounds, 2 points), Ella Gray (7 rebounds, 3 points)

Highlights: Pembroke jumped out to a 10-2 lead and won every quarter to avenge two earlier losses to Bow. Stephens had 17 of her game-high 22 points in the first half as the Spartans led 30-18 at halftime.

Bishop Brady 49, Plymouth 20

Key players: Bishop Brady – Claire Jackson (27 points), Payton Bryson (11 points) 

Highlights: Seniors Jackson and Bryson took over in the second half on senior night, outscoring the Bobcats 33-7 over the final two quarters. Jackson scored 13 of her points in the fourth.

Boys’ Basketball

Pembroke 67, Bow 64, OT

Key players: Pembroke – Devin Riel (20 points), Evan Berkeley (14 points), Andrew Fitzgerald (12 points), Javien Sinclair (8 points), Zach Bemis (8 points); Bow – Jake Reardon (28 points)

Highlights: Pembroke was down 20-8 after the first quarter, but turned it around, outscoring Bow the rest of the way to win in overtime in a tournament-like atmosphere.

Coach’s quote: “Wow, what a great game to be involved in. Both teams played their hearts out and fortunately we came out on top. Bow is great team and well coached. We just may see them again in the tournament. My boys never panicked after (trailing in the first quarter).” – Pembroke’s Michael Donnell

Bishop Brady 55, Plymouth 53

Key players: Bishop Brady – Owen Thornton (17 points), Ryan Casey (17 points)

Highlights: Thornton had his best game of the season, playing a well-rounded game and hitting some big shots.

Laconia 66, John Stark 42

Key players: John Stark – Aiden Harris (20 points, 7 steals), Joey Dykstra (13 points, 9 rebounds)

Highlights: Laconia jumped out to a 10-1 lead and kept the nine-point lead going into halftime before pulling away in the second half.

Highlights: MV held a one-point lead heading into the fourth, but was outscored 13-5 in the final frame.
