Bow 57, Pembroke 53

Highlights: The Falcons picked up a big on on their home floor over the Spartans.

Laconia 48, Coe-Brown 24

Key players: Laconia – Macy Swarmstedt (26 points); Coe-Brown – Emma Lapierre (8 points), Madison Taylor (7 points), Hannah Meehan (4 points)

Highlights: Second-place Laconia took a 17-2 first-quarter lead and never looked back.

Highlights: Stafford hit a huge 3 to open the third quarter after the score was tied, 22-22, at halftime, and the Generals outscored the Bears 15-3 in the fourth quarter.

Highlights: The Eagles turned a two-point halftime lead into a route in the second half.

Highlights: The Hawks jumped out to a 32-19 halftime lead before picking up the defensive effort in the second half, opening up a 47-29 lead after three quarters and expanding the lead through the fourth.

Key players: Kearsarge – Ava Shapiro (13 points), Naimah Wilson (12 points); H-D – Morgan Dean (19 points)

Highlights: Kearsarge jumped out to a 17-4 lead after the first quarter, and stretched its lead to 29-7 at halftime and 38-20 through three quarters.

Records: Kearsarge 5-9; H-D 3-8

Franklin 57, Pittsfield 12

Key players: Franklin – Kourtney Kaplan (30 points), Lily Cornell (15 points)

Highlights: The Tornadoes won their fifth straight game.

Pembroke 78, Bow 75

Key players: Pembroke  – Andrew Fitzgerald (22 points), Evan Berkeley (20 points), Devin Riel (12 points), Javien Sinclair (10 points); Bow – Jake Reardon (34 points), Peyton Larrabee (17 points), Ben Reardon (11 points)

Highlights: Sinclair sunk a pair of 3-pointers in the fourth quarter and Berkeley connected on two free throws down the stretch.

Coach’s quote: “I knew going in this was gonna be a dogfight and it was a great game. Jake Reardon is pretty much unstoppable, but the difference tonight was our depth. We lost the lead for a moment in the fourth, but Sinclair nailed his two 3s.” – Pembroke’s Michael Donnell

Coe-Brown 68, Laconia 39

Highlights: Coe-Brown won its third in its last four games.

Highlights: Hanover led a defensive battle at halftime, 19-13. The Generals missed some opportunities in the third, which opened the door for Hanover to take control.

Coach’s quote: “We had a rough week last week, but I liked how we played tonight. Certainly there were some possessions we would like to get back, but we were much tougher tonight on the defensive end and I hope that is something that will continue moving forward for us.” – John Stark’s Mike Smith

Concord Christian 64, Holy Family 53

Key players: Concord Christian – Luke Farland (17 points), TJ Charbono (17 points), Jack Owens (12 points), Alex Xu (11 points); Holy Family – Enzo Yonkeau (17 points), Jeremiah Guerrero (13 points)

Highlights: Holy Family came out hot, outscoring the Kingsmen 19-16 in the first quarter and did a great job on the glass, allowing the Griffins multiple second chance opportunities. But Concord Christian adjusted and improved its defense and rebounding over the next two quarters, outscoring Holy Family 35-19.

Coach’s quote: “We were down a starter to illness and other starters were not completely healthy. We really relied on our bench tonight and both Alex Xu and Jack Owens answered the call. They were great for us, providing much-needed defense and rebounding. Proud of those guys for being ready when they were needed. Highlights: The General Hawks picked up a shutout victory on Saturday.

Highlights: JSHHD led 2-1 through the first period and Podsadowski scored a pair of shorthanded goals in the second period to give the General Hawks a 4-1 lead, en route to coach Kolehmainen’s 150th career victory behind the John Stark-Hopkinton bench.

Coach’s quote: “This game wasn’t as close as the score would suggest, (Hubacher) played a great game in net for the Lakers. Podsy had the hot hand for us tonight and the only one to find the back of the net out of our 49 shots.” – JSHHD’s Denis Kolehmainen
