A high-speed chase on Interstate 93 ended when the erratic driver crashed his vehicle at the roundabout in Penacook, state police said.

Jason Marcoux, 48, of Manchester, was charged with 10 counts of felony reckless conduct with a deadly weapon, as well as charges of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, disobeying an officer, driving after suspension for DUI and reckless driving

During the pursuit, Marcoux is accused of accelerating his blue 2013 Dodge Dart to more than 100 miles per hour and running other vehicles off the road.

The episode began on the highway in Hooksett when police say Marcoux pulled over near a state trooper who was conducting a commercial vehicle inspection.

Marcoux got out his vehicle on the highway and “began shouting erratically,” state police said.

“When the Trooper tried to approach, the driver ran back to the car and drove away, heading north on I-93 at high speeds,” state police said in a statement.

Another state trooper to the north in Bow saw Marcoux driving more than 100 mph in the high-speed breakdown lane. Instead of pulling over for the trooper, Marcoux accelerated and showed no indications of slowing, according to police.

“The driver continued on I-93 through Concord and, at times, was observed driving toward other vehicles and endangering other drivers,” state police reported.

The state police dog named Ragnar, who is assigned to Trooper First Class Derek Myrdek, apprehended Marcoux at the scene of the crash, police said.
