It’s still very early in the season, but the Concord High School girls’ ice hockey team already has something to show for its effort.

The Crimson Tide competed in the two-day Kingswood Holiday Tournament last week, winning the tournament championship with a 6-4 win over Exeter on Friday. Concord previously beat Berlin-Gorham-Kennett, 5-1, and Salem, 7-2, in the earlier rounds on Thursday.

Concord brought home some extra hardware, with senior goaltender Kaylee DelloIacono taking home Tournament Most Valuable Player honors. DelloIacono and fellow senior Claire Brown were both named to the All-Tournament team, with sophomore Brooke Nelson and junior Hailey Pinette earning Honorable Mention.

Brown also finished second in the faster skater competition and Nelson was the runner-up in the hardest shot competition.

The Tide (1-2 in regular season play) resumes NHIAA action on Saturday at Bishop Guertin.
