Q: Where do you live?

Concord, NH.

Q: Where do you currently work?

I work as a remote Marketing and Communications Coordinator for Open Door Family Medical Center, a Federally Qualified Health Center based in New York, where I am originally from. In my role, I create impactful, mission-driven communications through print and digital media. I also have a freelance graphic design business, Lauren Cahill Designs (LaurenCahillDesigns.com).

Q: Tell us a little bit about yourself and what you do.

I grew up in the scenic Hudson Valley region of New York. I am a very detail-oriented creative person, and thankful that my career in marketing, communications, and graphic design allows me to use my creativity. My passion is to visually connect with an audience, convey meaning, and drive engagement through various forms of media.

Q: Why do you choose to live in the Greater Concord area?

My husband, Dan, was offered an exciting opportunity to join NHPR and we made the big move in January 2024.

Q: What’s your favorite part of your work day?

Anytime I can create something meaningful that helps others.

Q: What do you like to do for fun?

I love live music, art, traveling, being outdoors, and spending time with loved ones and my adorable cat, Sasha. I also recently created an Instagram, @capturingconcord, where I showcase the vibrant local community. Establishing this was a wonderful way to connect and support the beautiful city of Concord when I moved here.

Q: Favorite places to be?

Cape Cod and Coastal Maine.

Q: Where is the best place you’ve visited?

Saint Lucia.

Q: Last book you’ve read?

“Firefly Lane” by Kristin Hannah.

Q: What organizations are you involved with?

I recently had the opportunity to volunteer with Intown Concord’s Winterfest and Darbster Rescue in Manchester. I plan to continue my involvement with these organizations as well as others in the future.

Q: What’s your favorite restaurant in Concord?

Siam Orchid Thai Bistro and Dos Amigos.

Q: What’s your favorite place to go in Concord?

It’s hard to choose just one! I enjoy walking around downtown, taking classes at Blossom Yoga & Wellness, and attending shows at Capital Center for the Arts.

Q: Favorite movie of all time?

“Practical Magic.”

Q: What has been your favorite CYPN event so far?

The recent CYPN February gathering at Gibson’s Bookstore has been my favorite so far. I loved connecting with fellow attendees while exploring the incredible book selection, and enjoying chocolate-covered strawberries from Granite State Candy.
