Arrest made following incident at State Street Laundromat in Concord

Following the report of an assault at the State Street Laundromat early last month, Concord Police arrested a “person of interest” who was identified with help from the community.

Jason McGill, 43, of Concord, was arrested Friday and charged with two counts of sexual assault and one count of indecent exposure. All the charges are misdemeanors.

Following the initial report, Concord Police issued a photo of a “person of interest,” which led to several tips from members of the community.

On Thursday, police obtained an arrest warrant for McGill, who was located and arrested on Friday.

He was initially held on preventative detention pending a hearing at Concord District Court.

“The Concord Police Department thanks the community for its response and cooperation in investigating this case,” the department said in a statement.
