Letter: Great news

First, I want to congratulate all of the citizenry who voted Donald Trump into office for a second term (or third and fourth?).

Now the great news! You know all this cutting and firing that the man from South Africa has been doing? Well, Trump wants to give all of us chumps a portion of those DOGE savings. How “Great Again” is that! You see Trump wants you to admire that check with his signature on it while he makes permanent the tax cuts for corporations and the wealthy. You voted for him because you were concerned about the size of the federal deficit, oh which by the way has only gone down under Democratic Administrations. But don’t worry, his tax cuts will only add $4-6 trillion to the national debt.

This summer while you’re on your hard-earned vacation at a National Park, ignore the sewage smell and don’t trip on any loose boards. Also, if you fly don’t be concerned that there aren’t enough FAA professional and technical repair people, planes are a modern miracle; they fly themselves, well most of the time. That tax refund you were counting on, don’t. It may take a while to process given the IRS layoffs. Also, don’t be surprised if you’re audited, because all the money the Biden Administration was going to focus finding tax fraud amongst the wealthy won’t be there, so they will just look at the normal people, because after all we can’t be trusted.
