Letter: Vote for Mike Moffett

Last year I made a major, very expensive purchase from a high-end store and ended up with a lemon. It just didn’t work. I personally went to the store and spoke with two managers to alert the company about the problem. I subsequently got a run-around. Several times I’d be on the phone or on hold for over an hour, and I just couldn’t get any help. I also called several state agencies, again with no results. It was very stressful and beyond frustrating.

I finally contacted my state representative for Loudon, Mike Moffett, who is a fellow member of the Loudon Lions Club. Mike said he’d get right on it. The very next day a senior executive from the company called me and said they’d immediately take action to make things right, which they did. When Canterbury and Loudon citizens vote for state representative on Nov. 5, I hope they’ll look beyond party or politics and just vote for candidates like Mike, who care about people and get things done.
