Letter: Moffett for state rep

As a state representative candidate running for reelection to represent Canterbury and Loudon, I again respectfully ask the citizens of those towns to consider giving me their votes. Having once been a history and government teacher, I have special reverence for our unique citizen legislature and am very proud of all I’ve been able to accomplish there as a sponsor of numerous bills, many bipartisan, that have had a positive impact on our state in many ways. After serving several terms on the House Education Committee, leadership rewarded me with the chairmanship of the Committee on State-Federal Relations and Veterans Affairs.

As a reserve Marine Corps infantry officer who served in both the Persian Gulf and Afghanistan, I have a good understanding re: the dynamics involving our veteran community. Constituents know I answer every message and I’m especially proud of successfully getting several measures passed in response to their outreach to me. And I’m also proud of my 99+% record of roll call vote attendance. Experience matters, in terms of knowing the people and processes crucial to constituent service and getting things done. I hope citizens will allow me to continue working for them and for our Granite State by voting for me on Nov. 5.
