Letter: Who gets to decide, and why?

There have been several items in the Monitor recently pro and con HB 1283. It seems to me that an underlying issue in this debate is who gets to decide an individual’s course of action and why?

Should the decision be with the individual involved in consultation with family, or should it be with those who believe they know the right thing for other people to do?
