It’s interesting that Trump has the ability to put the kibosh on the border bill. Trump doesn’t want to have a bill that addresses the border issue because he wants to use the issue as the centerpiece of his candidacy. Trump has gloated that he’d be able to stop the Ukraine war in a day. Without a bill supporting Ukraine, Trump is handing Putin his win over Ukraine.

After his Ukraine win, Putin will feel entitled to continue his murderous invasion and takeover of other states and countries as he desires. Trump and the authoritarian dictators he admires most will then be able to split the world so that each dictator will have an equal portion to own and destroy. We need to protect democracy because once it’s gone it could take generations to get it back, if it ever does.
