Letter: Our local veterans deserve more respect

Concerning the ongoing saga regarding the Elizabeth Gurley Flynn marker, there has been much debate back and forth whether the marker should exist or not. While I have my own opinion, I’m not looking to debate one way or the other on whether it should or shouldn’t be, however I have yet to see any mention that if it is that important to keep the marker, is it really all that necessary to have the marker placed directly across the street of the main entrance of our local Veterans of Foreign Wars Lodge?
