Letter: Truth is critical

Picking a candidate for president in the NH primary can be a complicated process. We all have our values, our favorite candidates, our personal relationships, our policy priorities, and our strategy. Furthermore, we all give different weight to these factors. In my thinking, the most important factor is to be sure that Donald Trump does not reach the White House and doesn’t appear on the ballot in November. The next factor is how do I make my vote count.

As a recent independent I decided to vote for Chris Christie. Despite our differences on virtually every issue, he was the only Republican candidate to speak the truth about Donald Trump. In total, Biden and Christie are the only two candidates bold enough to tell the truth about Donald Trump. The rest of the Republican candidates, especially Govs. Haley and DeSantis failed that crucial test. When he dropped out of the race, I needed to rethink who would get my vote. The conclusion was to write-in Joseph R. Biden.
