Letter: How did Jan. 6 insurrection happen?

A letter recently asked why so many letters to the editor involve ex-President Donald Trump. I don’t think there has been enough research on how and why the Jan. 6, 2021 attack on the Capitol happened. There were hundreds of citizens who ‘just happened’ to visit there, according to Trump. Really? I can’t imagine so many wanting to visit at the same time, carrying signs, and clubs.
Then there was the deaths of six, including police that day. And Trump just watched it all on TV. His extreme narcissistic personality disorder getting a massive recharge from it all. It’s time that responsible Republicans rethink the whole insurrection and realize what caused it (hint: Trump). If any Republican would still consider voting for him for president, they would be voting for a man who wants to be dictator, for life!
