Letter: Joe Biden supports issues of the youth

Nikki Haley said: “How are we supposed to get our girls used to the fact that biological boys are in their locker rooms? And then they wonder why a third of our teenage girls seriously contemplated suicide last year.” Nikki Haley’s words and actions have contributed toward anxiety for teenage girls. As UN ambassador, she took the U.S. out of the Paris agreement (climate change), the Iranian Nuclear Deal, and the Human Rights Council. As governor, she signed a 20 week abortion ban, with no exceptions for rape or incest, and threatened doctors with jail time for providing care for their patients.

As governor, Haley has refused to support commonsense gun safety legislation and even opposed expanding background checks in the wake of the tragic shootings in South Carolina. Nikki Haley said that the “don’t say gay” bill in Florida, “does not go far enough.” Nikki Haley does not support student loan forgiveness. Nikki Haley wants to “bring back law and order” while she says that she will pardon Trump. These issues are paramount to our youth. Republican policies are exacerbating anxiety for our youth. Joe Biden is proving that he has, he can, and he will, continue his efforts on their behalf.
