Letter: What about the hostages?

In response to the letter by Mr. Diamond (Monitor, 1/4) declaring Israel is committing atrocities in Gaza. He eloquently critiqued the faults of Israel and the IDF massacring the Gaza residents. He encourages the reader to contact your representatives to demand an end to Israel’s atrocities.
Nowhere in his letter does he encourage Hamas to release innocent Israeli hostages who are held in the most inhumane conditions by a terrorist organization. Hopefully Monitor readers are also accessing other publications world wide to ensure a broader scope and understanding of this war.
