Letter: First in the Nation

On Tuesday, Jan. 23, New Hampshire has the unique opportunity to live up to its notable status as First in the Nation, the first primary election to put Donald Trump out to pasture. That we the people are turning the page on a shameful embarrassment in our history. That we the people are turning the page on Trump’s malignant lies and vulgar hate speech that has corroded our collective critical thinking skills. That we the people are sending a clear message to Trump’s buddy in Russia who is nothing more than a glorified, murderous thug dressed in a cheap suit.
That we the people are standing firm on the side of truth and integrity. That we the people are standing firm on the right side of history. Perhaps Hollywood legend Mae West sums up my take on Donald Trump best when she quipped, “His mother should have thrown him out and kept the stork.”
