Highlights:  The Hawks jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first inning thanks to an RBI single from Ammann and a bases-clearing three-run double by Czarkowski. But Campbell tied the game 4-4 at the end of three innings and took an 8-4 lead through four. The Cougars led 10-4 before an error led to two Hopkinton runs in the sixth. Windhurst’s RBI single cut Campbell’s lead to 10-7, but the inning ended with the bases loaded.

Campbell did take the wind out of our sails a little bit in the middle innings when they started scoring. St. Thomas took a 5-0 lead early in Game 2 and held the lead for the win, despite the Hawks picking things up offensively.
