Writing can be a solitary endeavor, but the Concord Writers Group provides a supportive community for writers of all levels and genres. Established in 1986, the group offers constructive feedback, encouragement, and opportunities to connect with others through seminars, contests, and literary activities.

Longtime member Paul Levy reflects on his 12 years with the group: “I’ve met a diverse group of people, had a lot of fun, and received invaluable writing support. Critiquing others’ work has improved my own writing and deepened my understanding of different literary forms and genres.”

Short story writer Gerry Monroe, a member since 2018, says, “The group has helped me refine my work through editing critiques and provided the camaraderie of fellow writers. It’s also motivated me to compile a collection of stories for potential publication.”

The Concord Writers Group meets at the Concord Public Library on the first and third Saturdays of each month from September through May. New members are always welcome to join this vibrant community of writers dedicated to improving their craft and supporting one another.
