Hopkinton 4, Newfound 1
Key players: Hopkinton – Nolan Linstad (2 goals), Kristof Cauley (2 assists), Sawyer Zipke (goal), Fin Murphy (goal), Noah Aframe (assist), Deegan Tomaz (assist), Hunter Eckner-Naylor (5 saves)
Highlights: Linstad’s opening goal finished off a nice series of passes in the lead up to the shot in the 16th minute. Zipke scored his first varsity goal, heading home a throw-in from Aframe in the 31st minute to give the Hawks a 2-0 halftime lead, and Hopkinton scored two more goals in the second half. Newfound got on the board in the 67th minute. Hopkinton outside back Shane Smith contributed stout defense that shut down most Newfound attacks.
Coach’s quote: “The Hawks controlled this game from start to finish against a Newfound team that is much better than their record would seem to indicate. Hopkinton produced many chances via nice buildup play, but certainly need to improve on finishing in the final third.” – Hopkinton’s Scott Zipke

Belmont 1, St. Thomas 1
Key players: Belmont – Jaxson Embree (9 saves), Keegan Martinez (goal), Owen Waldron (assist), Brody Ennis (defense), Enes Sagirli (defense)
Highlights: Martinez scored the tying goal with 13 minutes left to play off a long throw-in from Waldron. Embree was a standout in goal for Belmont, and Ennis and Sagirli were solid on the defensive end.

Key players: Coe-Brown – Sam Arnesen (6 aces), Avery Keefe (5 aces), Emma Zeblisky and Kelli Daniel (combined .667 hitting and 13 kills), Lili Cook (3 kills); MV – Caydence Allberg (ace, kill), Avery Snarey (ace, kill), Ryleigh Perry (ace, kill)
Highlights: Allberg, Snarey and Perry had some key digs and played big at the net to force the Bears to work for it, but Coe-Brown won in straight sets.
