Boys’ Track

Concord, Merrimack Valley at Londonderry Invitational

Key players: Concord – Colby Nyhan (tied 1st pole vault at 12-0), Alain Twite (2nd long jump, 3rd triple jump, 3rd high jump), Sam Foulds (3rd discus), Ayoob Ismael (5th javelin), Quinn Marino (5th 200), Shaun Fifield (5th 800), Wesley Thompson (5th 3,200), Sam Pfitzenmayer (6th discus), 4x400 (6th); MV – Bishow Thapa (4th 400), Tyler Wallace (6th 300 hurdles), Aiden Paquette (6th triple jump), 4x400 (1st in 3:33)

Highlights: Concord and MV competed at the non-scoring Londonderry Invitational on Saturday in the final tune-up for teams before next week’s NHIAA division championships. Nyhan tied for first in the pole vault, which had to be cut short due to the rain. The MV quartet of Beckett Rose, Marshall Carey-Matthews, Wallace and Thapa won the 4x400 relay in 3:33. The D-II Pride topped a field that was entirely Division I teams.

Girls’ Track

Concord, MV at Londonderry Invitational

Key players: Concord – Maddie Muller (1st pole vault at 10-0, 3rd 400), Chloe Gudas (1st 800 in 2:22.67), Ella Goulas (2nd high jump, 2nd triple jump, 6th long jump), Caroline Cooper (3rd 200, 6th 100), Kelley Mikelson (tied 3rd high jump, 6th triple jump), Katherine Muller (3rd 300 hurdles), Morgan Doherty (4th 100 hurdles), Molly Nyhan (4th 1,600), Kendall Barton (4th pole vault), 4x400 (2nd), 4x100 (4th), 4x800 (5th); MV – Victoria Leak (3rd discus, 4th javelin)

Highlights: Concord and MV closed out their regular seasons at the non-scoring Londonderry Invitational on Friday. Concord will next compete in the Division I championship on Thursday at Salem High School, while MV will be in the D-II championship on Friday at Oyster River High School.
