Letter: COGE: ridiculous!

Let’s be clear, COGE is a gimmick we do not need or want. We have elected officials. These are the people we expect to represent our interests and concerns as New Hampshire moves forward. To let Craig Benson, one of the least popular one-term governors in state history, have anything to do with the current administration is ludicrous. Voters from both parties couldn’t get him out of office fast enough.

If Gov. Kelly Ayotte can’t figure out how to work with elected officials on New Hampshire’s concerns, maybe she should not have run for office. We do not need shadow government in New Hampshire. We need transparency. Kick COGE to the curb. It is not needed or required, period. Let Benson and others run the businesses they have rather than interfere in government where they, in reality, do not have a place.
