A Concord man suffered non-life threatening injures after his pickup truck crashed head-on into a Mack truck on Route 106 in Belmont on Friday morning.

Alexander Christie, 19, of Concord was traveling north near Peggy Drive when, for unknown reasons, he drove his Toyota Tacoma into the opposite lane and crashed into the Mack truck traveling south, police said.

Belmont police and fire rescue responded to the call about 6:40 a.m. First responders transported Christie to Lakes Region General Hospital. Investigators from the state police Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Unit inspected the scene. Neither speed nor alcohol appear to be factors in the crash.

Anyone with information is asked to call Belmont police Officer Derek Gray at 267-8350. The crash remains under investigation by Belmont police.
